32Gb is no limit for Fat32. I had an external drive that had 110Gb, and it was FAT32. No wait, it was my other one, the one with 470Gb.

I think the limitation of FAT32 is the size of a single file
I found this out trying to copy over a 4GB file, and then a 3.2 GB file...
Mac Mini- 2.26Ghz Core 2 Duo + OSX 10.6
