Since 2002, MacRadio has been providing Mac focused Internet radio to the streaming world. But now, says Executive Producer Omaha Sternberg, it’s time to make some changes.
“More and more people want to listen to their shows on their time, and make comments when they are ready to do so,” Ms. Sternberg said. “Internet radio requires that listeners attend the show at a particular time to listen and comment. So we’ve decided to relaunch MacRadio as a Mac focused podcast portal. This, we believe, will support the desires of our listeners.”
MacRadio is also calling for beta testers for the new site. Anyone interested can register by going to http://www.macradio.com/betafaq.php and sending an email to the appropriate address. Official beta testers will receive a limited edition beta test t-shirt with the new MacRadio logo, plus be entered into the beta test prize drawing at the end of the testing phase.
All MacRadio radio programs are available free as a podcast or streaming MP3 from the MacRadio website. To tune in, listeners must have QuickTime 5 and above, or iTunes 4.9 or other MP3 enabled software (such as iPodderX) for access to the podcasts and MP3 stream.“More and more people want to listen to their shows on their time, and make comments when they are ready to do so,” Ms. Sternberg said. “Internet radio requires that listeners attend the show at a particular time to listen and comment.
