For one week or so i couldn't acess IMG. Initially i though it was down for some reason, but looking today that all the sites were reporting the announce of GoW for Mac and all of them pointed to here, i thought that maybe it wasn't down and it was my problem. Checked Firewall and it was off. Asked a Friend if he could acess here, and he said "No". As a last chance, i decided to try to acess here using a proxy, and for my surprise it worked.

I don't know, but i think that maybe IMG blocked all of the IPs coming from Brazil. Because me and my friend are from Brazil and we can't acess here without a proxy.

OMG! A Brazilian got through! To arms! To arms!

Just kidding, I seriously doubt that IMG is blocking Brazil. Great Britain I could understand, what with their zany humor and all that rot, but Brazil... no. Talk to your internet provider, tell them about the problems you are having.

I doubt aswell that it was a block, but that was my only guess of what happened. Anyway, i confirmed it with two more friends from different states (and aswell different ISP) and all of them can't access here.

But anyway, thanks for your attetion.

That's very interesting. I wonder if it is some sort of hardware/software problem between here and there or if Brazil itself is blocking you from accessing some sites. At least you can get through. Let us know if you find out what the problem was, maybe it can help others.

I have heard of ISPs blackholing entire countries' IP ranges in the name of fighting spam, and Brazil does rank fairly high as a spam source. Could the ISP that hosts IMG be doing something stupid like that?

Absolutely everybody trying to create a new BDPE forum account from Russia, China, and Italy are spammers. Every single damn one of them. I've been checking them and approving them by hand every day for the last several months. I haven't noticed Brazil as a problem, but that's not to say they aren't elsewhere.

it happened to me.

and i would say im 70% sure it has to do with your modem's settings.
i just happened to fix it whilst tampering with my modem.

I dont think that it is the case. I don't have a router. If it is of any help, my modem it's a US Robotics 9001, and there is nothing between my Mac and the Modem.

Also, i don't have the problems mentioned at the post. I can access any online game, Azureus works without a problem (Green mark On) and so on. My problem is only with every single site of IMG (IMG, MacGameStore, etc).

i didnt say it was a router problem
i said it was a modem problem.
your modem is whats not letting
you into IMG. i had the problem
and simply fixed it by resetting
my modem's internal settings.

contact your ISP as to how
to do this.

Yeah, IMG hasn't been working for a week. All appears to be well now. I did not contact my ISP nor did I reconnect my DSL modem to get a new ISP address. Someone suggested it might be the DNS servers. Anyways, IMG is back for me so I am content.

My modem doesn't have a "setting". I mean, there ain't a "go to 198.x.x.x " to view the settings. And the reset its a simple pull-the-cables-for-a-certain-amount-of-time.

But anyway, IMG is back to me, as of today. What i did to come back? Nothing, it simple worked today, as it was for mrimac00.

For a few weeks I haven't been able to access IMG from a few ISPs in Australia (OptusNet from Canberra and Unwired from Sydney). I can access it from my work though (although probably not a good idea to access games sites from work...) and I'm currently using the Tor network to post this.

Is this a known problem? I can provide more details.

It looks like my problem has risen. Som of you migh tkn ow that I haven't been on the forums for a couple of weeks. That has not been due to going somewhere or anything except that (it looks like my modem) is blocking me from the IMG server, even the RSS feeds. At first it was that it took a long time to load any particular dapge on the server, and then the story changed to me not being able to acess without an unblocking proxy. Then it took a long time to load any page on the unblocking proxy. that was a few weeks agao, and now I am back. I am just wondering if there is any way to fix this issue, without resording to outside help with the modem.

Maybe the issue might just go away? I have talked to AMG about it. I know what he has said to me, he has already said twice to fix the modem problem, but yeah, I just don't want to resort to that.

Thanks Liberator.
