Cars The Videogame

Hey -- I can't seem to find a place to buy the Pixar/Disney THQ developed game of the movie Cars!
I mean the racing game in this demo: http://www.macgamefi....php?item=19178
NOT the Radiator Springs Adventure disc.
Nobody is selling the (was supposed to be hybrid win/mac disc) PC version, not even the THQ store.
Any clue? I was going to have it over-nighted for my 7 yr old's birthday this week!

Hi everybody!
It's the first time that I've bought a game for my Mac... I'm a mac user from a longlong time, but a really newbie in "gaming on mac".
Forgive my bad english...
Well! I've bought this "Cars" game for my little daugther... but I've got a problem, I hope someone here can help me...
I've just updated (to Intel version) the game on a MacBook (Intel Core 2 Duo 2,16GHz), but as I launch the application it asks for the Cars disk to be insert...
Of course! The dvd is in the computer already... the application seems to not see/find it!
I've tried to eject and insert it again... re-installed everything... no way! It wants the dvd, but it cannot find it!
So... I've a doubt...: is the game incompatible with my new MacBook? (I've got also a G5 Dual 2 GHz, and the PowerPC version of the game works fine on it! ...tha MacOS X version on both cpu are the same: 10.4.10)
Is there someone using it without problem on a Mac Intel...? Have you some suggestion?
I really thank you and sorry for my long post...
Cheers from Rome,
Rino

Hi the Battle Cat!
Yes! It works!
...it's just a little bit difficult to follow the instructions if you're, as I am, a "no-tech-head"... but, at the end, if I've done it... everyone can do it!
Oh! ...no! no! ..."you're" is not you directly...
Here it is, Chris wrote:
<< To fix this:
- mount the DVD
- go to the directory /Volumes (hidden directory, you'll have to show the hidden files using Onyx or another utility - or directly use the terminal)
- make an alias of Disc1
- name it Disc2
Et voilą You can now launch Cars and it works >>
I've used Cocktail... that bold line (my nightmare!) means that you have to find a folder called Volumes (it's an hidden file that Cocktail or Onyx can make visible to you)...
Inside that folder there is the file (that is an alias too) named "Disc1"... etc etc...
Hope this will be a bit more useful...
Ciao!
