Parallels recently announced Parallels Desktop 3.0 for the Mac. The latest edition of the the Windows virtualization software will include support for 3D graphics, a welcome addition for gamers. Desktop 3.0 provides a variety of other improvements and additions as well.

Here's a list of some of the software's features:

SmartSelect
• Cross OS File & App Integration
• Assign files to any application
• Set 'on the fly' or as a default

Snapshots
• Bulletproof your VM
• Store the VM state and custom intervals
• Rollback when needed

3D Graphics
• OpenGL and DirectX support
• Support for graphics hardware
• Vista Aero coming soon
Parallels costs $79.99, and when available the 3.0 version will be available for a $49.99 upgrade fee. Parallels is currently offering a special reduced $39.99 price for those who preorder the upgrade before June 6, 2007.
