there is one thing that can completely change how the Cod2 Engine looks.

in settings, for the cards that carry like 512mb of memory, you can punch the render mode up to high.
its one setting that can make the game look a whole lot different.

thats what that footage looked like. Cod2 with the render mode on high.
Speaking of system requirements (kind of), I'm a bit worried at what they will be like for us PPC users. Because as I will not be buying a new computer for at least a year. I think that the inevitable end of new games for the PPC will be coming around the release date of CoD 4 (spring for us Aussies).

[Edit: P.S. great find Lord Brixton, thanks. :D It looks sooo sweet!!!]

I knew, I knew. :( But I did know that like I did with CoD, I will with CoD 4. I will have it in my room (next to my computer) when it has already aged a bit [maybe I'll give it a year or (maybe two), then I'll buy it]. The reason, because I'm not buying a new computer for a year or two.

Back onto topic; regardless, I'm still anticipating CoD 4. Also, like most of the other MoH games (I think), will MoH: Airborne be coming to mac? Or not?

Thanks, Liberator.

P.S. It (MoH: Airborne) looks really good.

MoH hasnt been on the mac since MoH:AA... and CoD was the spiritual successor to that particular game, so i kinda doubt it.

theres such a thing as too much WW2.

Well, we DID get MoH: Spearhead and MoH: Breakthrough expansion packs.  Neither of which I'd recommend as they were so deeply flawed that I never bothered to finish them.  It's been so long though I forget why!

cos it was a different team of developers doing it. 2010 essentially split after MoHAA, and formed Infinity Ward.
ill give MoH:Airborne one thing, it does look interesting, what with being able to land anywhere on the battlefield, i just dont think itll live up to expectations, just as with all the other post MoHAA games.

Well that explains how such a great game like MoH turned into a fourth rate shooter with pretty graphics.  I just replayed it recently, what a fun game the original was.

Gamespot has published a CoD 4 preview. Sounds interesting - and looks good. Not quite like a CoD 2 mod...

Yeah, I saw the review (and read it, eventually). It was good while not giving too much insight into the game(that facts is good and bad). At least it told you the outline and the plot the game would follow (go the SAS!!!). It was interesting that it wasn't set in afganistan or Iraq and we (the good guys) were (kind of) fighting the Russians. It didn't turn out exactly like I though it would.

Something about playing a "current events" version of CoD makes me uneasy. I think it's Lego or Playmobil that has the philosophy of never making contemporary "weapons" into toys, only historical or futuristic weapons. I admit I've had plenty of bullet-ridden shoot-'em-up fun with SoFII and Max Payne, etc., but the content of those and other games are preposterously make-believe. I guess I'm just not the target audience (no pun intended).
The commute from Mill Valley to Cupertino is a real bitch.

Perhaps we would be more comfortable if the Widgets fought the Gadgets.  One army appearing from the bottom of the screen and the other from the top.

I just thought, I think this new CoD (CoD 4: Modern Warfare for those dummies out there) would/could actually be a uninvinnotive and slightly different (like a more CoD look to it) version of Delta Force: Black Hawk Down. It was just a thought, that's all.

www.charlieoscardelta.com for more info.

Trust, it introduces a few cool features such as:
-eye focus (blurs stuff that you are not looking at e.g focus on a distant enemy and everything around you is blurred)
-Moving from a bright area to a dark area makes your eyes take time to adjust
-Destructible environments
-Ragdoll(finally) but fourtwozero said you won't really notice its ragdoll (huh?)
-Able to throw back grenades
-New multiplayer features(check forum for info)
-Enhanced AI that do more stuff independently
-All cutscenes are first-person
-And finally: CAPTAIN PRICE

Edit:Oh and for you console users-a guarenteed constant 60-frames per second

Maybe by having the people realistically just drop dead on the spot instead of dramatically (and extremely unrealistically) get thrown everywhere to show off the awesome physics engine (that apparently does not take normal newtonian laws into account... seeing what mass and/or speed the bullet would need to have to be able to throw back a human being).

Anyways, not sure why I post here anyways... only upcoming shooter I'm interested in is Halo 3... give me energy weapons and aliens over real life settings and killing "real" humans any day.
You shouldn't ask yourself such worthless questions. Aim higher. Try this: why am I here? Why do I exist, and what is my purpose in this universe?

(Answers: 'Cause you are. 'Cause you do. 'Cause I got a shotgun, and you ain't got one.)
