It is broke :(

I've tried to create a new one, but I can't figure out how to make it scroll.

I remember it working at one point but became broken thereafter. I thought about spending a day or two writing one that actually worked but once Leopard is released it will become moot anyways with their Widget-builder program.

Edit: I wrote a quick RSS reader widget tonight that I got working with a quickie RSS feed I created, but somehow or another it dislikes IMGs RSS....... I don't know what the problem is and haven't the time to figure it out.

Leopard has something along the lines of a "widget builder" that you can basically create out of web pages and the like. Of course, that's pretty much all widgets are right now, but the widget builder would make things a bit easier than writing the CSS and JS files yourself.

It worked great for a short while. It had the most prominent place in my collection of widgets. When I hit my widget hot button I would say, "Speak to me IMG Widget". But it soon bellied up. Tuncer asked the authors to fix it but never got a response back. There are a bunch of topics on the subject. I'll link you then I have to move this to the feedback sub-forum.

I've created a new IMG News widget in Dashcode. I'll upload it in a bit.

BTW, nothing is wrong with the RSS, it works and has worked for many years just fine.

Yeah, I know that the RSS works fine, I just couldn't figure out why my widget wasn't getting the feed correctly.

Oh, and how dare you use early adopter Leopard technologies. ;)

wow it works great! it's perfect! It should replace the one i downloaded before if that hasn't happened already. If there was a thing or two i would change it would be size, i would like it adjustable. But i really can't complain... :) I prefer the old color scheme, but I'm warming up to this one. it really fits my other widgets!

oh god! What a hideous picture! His nose is all misshapen!

Thanks for bringing me up to date. One last thing. The people on the podcast obviously have screen names. What are they? I mean sometimes people tell me they'll work on something and I'm just completely shocked that they actually work on the site.

Blake Buck has the mysterious ability to make it appear as if his face is smooshed against a thick pane of glass. Apparently when he was a baby his mother dropped him, and when he got up she dropped him again, then again and again until he stayed down.

Jarrod Nettles = Blackshawk
