I say we lift the restriction on animated avatars and give tBC permission to use that animated picture as his own.
The combined 4 part harmony howls of protest from all the no-necks I've told to remove their animations would make the walls crack!  Late at night I can hear their animations under the floorboards, "flub-dub, flub-dub, flub-dub".  They would all rise like the undead and smother me with their rotted stench, my only recourse would be to dig up my arms cache and fight back with the ferocity of a snarling, feral panther... actually... I think I'm only talking myself into it!

Thx guyz for fixing my statement.   But, is not the Battle Cat above bribery and favouritism?

I am happy that this forum will have a greater degree of protection from SPAMBOTZ.

Why not make Eric5h5 and Lord Brixton permanent moderators?  :nods:

As a side note: Since images are not allowed in the signature, why not make the avatar size BIGGER? Say perhaps 100x100?

Animated or not your discretion.

Wouldn't you all luv to see the action and breech on my avatar's shottie in greater detail?

Ooh, you don't want that.  After a couple of weeks, I start editing people's posts so the word "wibble" appears in strategically embarassing spots. A couple of weeks after that, I just start moving topics around randomly.  A team of psychologists was looking into the causes of this behavior, but for some reason they haven't been heard from in months.  :whistling:

Software is our biggest protection against spambots.  Only occasionally do we get a human in here to spam, something easily handled.  Besides, you don't want Eric and LB to be full time mods, remember that the one ring corrupts the bearer.  At one time I was a human just like you!  Mainly though, if you've ever heard the phrase "too many cooks spoil the broth" it applies in spades here in a forum.

I'm training these two guys because I don't want to leave IMG without a full time forum moderator if something should happen to me to prevent me from doing the job I signed up for.  I'm trying to be responsible, to not leave IMG high and dry.  First and foremost in my mind is that IMG is a business and I'm trying to help keep my part of it running smoothly.

I can't see animations ever coming here, they are just too distracting when you are reading, they are larger file sizes in general, and in many cases just plain annoying.  The small size of the avatar is a blessing to dial up users.

Speaking of spambots, I haven't seen posts pimping "wow gold" in hilariously broken English for ages.  Whatever methods were used to curtail that particular vice seem to have been effective...I hope it involved cattle prods somehow....

Don't jinx it!
Actually, I sorta' miss them, every morning I could wake up and know that a spam bot was advertising gold on the IMG forums, but now there is an utter lack of them, it's very sad. ::takes off hat in a moment of silence::

is it cos Fm didnt actually tell you, and still hasnt talked after the 3 months of torture, repeating only his screen name and post count (since the last time he posted himself, as opposed to it being you :P )?

I don't think torturing Fm would work.  He would bite through his hollow tooth, only it doesn't contain cyanide, it contains a gun.

By the way, LB, your birthday is one day too late.  February 16 is a MUCH better day for birthdays.  If you were really cool, it would have been on the 16th.  But no.  The 17th is just not good enough.  Close but no cigar.

Why is the 16th such a good day for birthdays? Saturdays are better because then you don't have to work on your birthday.
