Multiplay in Tiger Woods 2003 Trying to connect Mac to PC using IP address

Greetings from New Zealand!

I am on a Mac, my friend is on a PC. We both have Tiger Woods 2003. We are trying to link up to have a network game, but have so far been unsuccessful. We pop in the IP address of whoever is hosting and then try to join, so far, no matter who hosts/joins we keep receiving the message:

" the selected host does not appear to be hosting a game"

and that is as far we get.

Any hints, tips or advice on , would be greatly appreciated!
