If you own a G4 or G5 and are interested in on-line NASACR racing. We would love to have you stop by and visit our league. We are MACAR Red Line Racing League http://www.racingmacs.com and have been around for 4 years now. We are currently between seasons and looking for drivers who might be interested in joining us for our off-season series and possibly our championship series that begins next February.

We are *NOT* a bunch of kids playing demolition derby. Most of us are business professionals with families who love to mix it up on the track Tuesday and Thursday nights as a way to relax..though sometimes it seems to be the opposite.

Our winter series starts December 12th and will be open to anybody who wants to race. You do not need to buy anything or pay any fees (though you should have a wheel and pedal set). We will help get you set up with everything you need. A free demo of the game is available to those interested in trying out this type of racing.

Please check out or forums for more info...

WOW - a real Nascar Racing online sim league on the Mac! Yeah baby. I checked them out and it seems very well organized and their forums have a ton of information about what's needed to get up and racing door to door online in no time. The biggest thing is that it that it is a league where they "simulate" the real racing.. not just show up and "arcade" race.

Great job BradMorris#64!!!! :D

Hey MiZer, you forgot to mention the GTP mod which was the most difficult to convert for Mac use IMO, and which I was able to get thanks to Curry's work. With my 56k connection I stay away from online racing (I get my fun beta testing for the N2K3 modders and track builders), but I've been visiting your forum everyday for about 3 years. I've even registered there a couple of times in the past to share info but was swepted out during your spring cleaning... most probably because I was not recognized as an active driver.

Congratulations for your new MACAR site and the admin's decision to once again allow free access to your downloads (I had not noticed that until today as I've used a direct link to the forum). Having the downloads available may attract more MacUser and retain their interest until they feel more confident in their driving ability and/or get a faster connection. I suggest you also add the OWR and GTP mods to that D/L listing and (why not?) although you're not using them, the Ferrari330, AD67, GN70, Late Models, Super Sprints... which are also pretty good.

Cheers

Good idea, I'll see if we can get them together and get them posted.

OWR07 was announced in this forum thread with a couple of pics:
http://www.rubbins-r...p;highlight=owr

Pictures of this recent new version of the OWR mod are a bit difficult to find yet. A render of the basic models without final paints there:

One painted car here:

You can download the Mac version of the mod in the following forum thread (see Curry's post):
http://rlrl.firebran...e...&highlight=

If ever this link was to die, most mod and track files that have PC ".exe" installers can easily be opened in Virtual PC.

EDIT:
Just found pics of a 17-car IRL set that was used for beta testing OWR07. Only the Oval track version of the Dellara model is represented. The final updated mod also includes the Road Course version of the Dellara as well as the Oval and RC versions of the Panoz model.

Hard to believe it's been a year already. We had a great season. As we get ready for the 2007/2008 winter season, we just wanted to extend the invitation to anybody who is looking for a fun place to race to stop by. Our winter season begins Sunday Dec 9th and is open to anybody who wants to race. I think that most all of the links posted above are still current. There are direct links to the mod and tracks on our home page.

You can visit our home page at

Our forums at

Or our road racing site at
