FYI, the demo (found here: http://www.deltatao....611/index.html) has FIVE SECRETS in it!  See if anyone can find where they are; unfortunately, you can't actually *play* the secret levels, though this is even more incentive to send in your requests to Delta Tao and SHFF for the release of the game ASAP.

Correction: there are AT LEAST five secrets (I've at least found five), if you want help finding them check out Jon God's Dark Castle forum (found in the other discussion thread).

Keep sending the emails, we don't want Joe Williams to procrastinate the release of this game!  (He's done enough procrastinating, it's time to finish this thing.)  The game IS done, and the more emails he and Mark Pierce receive, the more likely something will be done ASAP (and we'll be enjoying in the game in 3 months or less! :) )

Thanks!

Wow, doesn't seem like there's much to say about Return to Dark Castle anymore.  :)

That's cool; however, there has been a development today-it seems that Z Sculpt has been given some positive word on the release of the game, this is evident from an update to their website, which confirms the game's completion:

http://www.zsculpt.c...about/index.php

The fact that this has been posted means that they'll be moving forward with the release very soon, exciting news for those of us who have been waiting for the game for the past 8 years.  :)

Jon God has also received confirmation from Z Sculpt that the game is definitely not cancelled, so we can all expect to see this game released, *hopefully* this spring even!

Thanks to any readers in this forum who sent emails to Mark Pierce and Joe Williams, it seems they have listened and are FINALLY going to give us what we want.

Feel free to continue posting your opinions on this game, and keep your posts to this thread only, there's no reason to have two forum threads dedicated to a game that hasn't even been released.  :)  I'll wait until we actually have discussion going again before I spam the heck out of this thread.

According to Zack Morris (one of the developers of the game), "SHFF has the final say, we are waiting till everything is ironed out and they give the go ahead"

It's time that we show them our support and gratitude for this sure to be great game! We need every forum member to email SHFF at whazup@superhappyfunfun.com

Let them know that we understand that RTDC is near to being released, and that we are offering our support and thanks for working on this great game, and that we are highly anticipating it's release.

Anyone who remembers playing Dark Castle or Beyond Dark Castle when they were younger will be excited to know that a sequel has recently been finished. Return to Dark Castle has been in production for over 10 years and is finally almost ready for release. It will be published by Super Happy Fun Fun, who is headed by Mark Stephen Pierce, one of the creators of the original Dark Castle games. (you can see his initials in the corner of many of the original levels of Dark Castle)

This game will include all the levels from the original 2 games, as well as over 50 new levels. The actual release date is currently unknown, but will probably be out by the end of the month. Here is the website: http://superhappyfun...returntodc.html

Also, a Dark Castle Forum was created last year to discuss memories of the original Dark Castle games as well as speculate and discuss about the coming release of Return to Dark Castle. Check it out here: http://z6.invisionfr....ex.php?act=idx
