Hey, it's kind of hard to get people to play multiplayer Baldur's Gate(I use GameRanger). I'm just curious... how many people still play Baldur's Gate 2?

It's very hard to play multiplayer in that game unless you're in the same room or connected via VoIP. The coordination required just to manage the pausing of the game makes it very difficult to do so.
I start a new single player game every now and then (very infrequently) just for the joy of the game. But I've never had any success playing multplayer.

I wish I could. Both my BG II disks are hidden in boxes in storage. Also, do they actually work on OS X?
I have to say, I am sick of spiderweb games now...even though I have liked them before, but the underdeveloped NWN stuff bugs me too. I wish there were many more games like BG II and Icewind Dale....they would play so dang well on semi-modern hardware...and they were soooooo much better than anything else before or since....*sigh*

There's a free patch to enable BGII and its expansion for OSX. I've played BGII on my Powermac G5 running 10.4.whatever, and performance is finicky and glitchy at best.
Resting, for example, almost never works without the game crashing and I've had to find creative ways to get by without it. I have my mage cast Wish to restore spells and use healing potions (or, more commonly, Wish again) for party member health.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: BGII is my favorite game of all time on any system in any genre. I really wish someone at Bioware would give it the attention it needs to really run natively in OSX, but I've not been holding my breath.

If you're using an intel mac then you might look into crossover games. I have had excellent results with most of the infinity engine games including those never ported to mac. And there's other gems of their ilk that also run well like Arcanum, Divine Divinity and others that never saw release on the mac. The difficulty lies in tracking down copies these days.
If you prefer to run native, did you try Echelon book 1?
