“The ATI Radeon X1900 G5 Mac is the fastest graphics processor upgrade available for Power Mac G5 Quad and Power Mac G5 Dual systems,” said Rick Bergman, senior vice president and general manager, Graphics Products Group, AMD. “ATI was one of the longest-running continuous supporters of gamers and prosumers on the Mac platform and we expect our focus on their needs to continue now that ATI is a part of AMD.”

I am sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but Ruby, the guy who flashed those cards, is far from a reliable person, there is a drove of people who paid him over $500 and have yet to see what they paid for, even after 4 months of patient waiting.
I really suggest you take time to investigate him before you do anything like give him money.

That would be the fastest available AGP card, which I think is the Radeon X800.

You do realize that the Mac market doesn't have the volume to drive prices down, unlike the cutthroat nature of the Windows gaming market? (And that the Mac version is not the same as the PC version?)
Yeah, it would be nice if the cards were cheaper, but damn, at least there are aftermarket cards. Unlike the nVidia-based cards.

Is that 400 Canadian bucks or something? The article says $350 US bucks.

well, I own a 7800GT card and if the ATI X1900 is less noisy I'll spend the money without thinking twice about it
