Mac gaming is in a drought...and frankly, I'm dying of thirst. Since I started Inside Mac Games back in 1993, I've never seen things this bad. New commercial releases are not only down to a trickle...they're down to a measly drop. I can safely say that 2006 is the worst year from Mac gaming (in terms of commercial releases) since Apple began making Macs in 1984.
The saddest part about all this is that Apple is doing so well these days. Just look at the company's earnings posted yesterday for the last quarter. Apple shipped more than 1.6 millions Macs, the Macs best quarterly showing ever. So what's the problem here? Is Mac gaming in a rut? And more importantly, will it get out of it?
