Macgamestore.com has begun to take pre-orders for The Sims 2: Pets, the upcoming expansion pack for the best-selling Sims 2 game.

The addition of a new friend is guaranteed to enrich the daily lives of your Sims! Not only will players have the opportunity to choose from a variety of existing breeds, and hot designer mixes, but they’ll also be able to personally design their new friend with the Create-a-Pet feature. Choose your Sims’ pet’s body shape, unique markings, even the pet’s personality! With so many different animals to choose from, there’s no telling what unpredictable experiences could occur!

The Sims 2: Pets is available for pre-order for $34.95 and is scheduled to ship in November.

You do realize the sales ratio is pretty much the same on the PC, I hope...there are in fact not "a heck of a lot more high popularity" games than the Sims, which is one of the most "popularity" games of all time....
