Egad, I hope that Blizzard hasn't licensed Havok for yet another mmorpg. Unfortunately, in order to recoup the licensing fees, I think a mmorpg (monthly fees and all) is a gimme.

Why? People keep forgetting unlike Macsoft (Halo) or Aspyr (Rainbow Six), Blizzard is a true multi-platform company. Most if not all their discs are hybrid PC/Mac. Therefore they aren't dependant on just Mac sales.

You give me some hope that Blizzard may put Havok to use in a product that I would consider purchasing! I figured that in the near future the milk from the WoW cow may be dry, and in the near future Blizzard would be done developing World of Starcraft (using Havok). I think this would be a shame (probably only for me), as I'm not a big WoW type.

It's been said a number of times that they're working on 3 or 4 projects right now.  They can't all be World of Warcraft.  ;)

Well, they could... but it would be rather unlikely. ;)

One of them is Starcraft 2, another is World of Warcraft stuff...not sure about the other 2 though.  Maybe one is something new and unrelated to any of their previous franchises.

If it has trolls, hobbits, elves or other fantasy middle-age type of characters in it I'm not interested. That's why I felt so abused reading the title :Havok finnaly on mac" to find out it's Blizzard. Nothing but respect for their crossplatform support though. But I seriously hope there will be others to follow Blizzard's lead, like Dice (BF2) for instance.

Battlefield 2 doesn't use Havok. It does use Gamespy though.

...and DICE and Valve. And then they port BF2142 and Half-Life 2 to Mac.
