I'm not sure when it will be up on MGF, but it was uploaded to the server last night.  We're just waiting for the software library admins to post the download, hopefully sometime today.

Fantastic - I hope their idea of 'sometime today' is better than Feral's idea of 'anytime soon'... ;)

By the way, I don't remember reading the minimum requirements being a 2ghz machine at all. I remember thinking that my 1.5ghz, 1gig RAM, 128mb ATI Radeon Mobility 9700 Powerbook would manage to get it going okay...

Mind you, Aspyr said that about SimCity 4 Deluxe on my machine, and frankly that was an abortion... :(

Drats. One only to "premium" members, the other only the French language version.
Are you sure? I just downloaded from one of those sites - the French site - and so far the installer and the Read Me are all in English... I'll fire up the demo and see what language it is...

Yep, it's the English version. Just played it. Lots of fun! :)

Phew, finally the demo is out. Played through it like....6, maybe 7 times. I was worried that my computer wouldn't haddle it as it's pretty old now, I got it when I was a freshman in college. Surprisingly though I can run it on the top settings, at a lower resolution and it runs flawlessly, no slowdown, no skipping. The only problem I do have is some random crashes, so I'm sure to save every so often, but not even that's too too bad.

GeForce 4Ti
1.5gig RAM

And Feral is still not shipping? What a fire trucking surprise. Oh, and I can't even cancel my order - so that I could order from another store - since nobody's replying e-mails, and that's the only way to contact them. Get your popsnizzle together, Feral.

Actually...has anyone else had random crashing problems? It's not tied to my graphics being too high, the game runs smoothly on all three settings, and will crash randomly on all three settings. It doesn't appear to be tied to one particular action either.

Anyone?

Is there a mirror or BitTorrent link for the demo?

MGF's servers are getting destroyed. I've been experiencing nonstop timeouts.

Screw it. I just made an order with MGS. Let's just hope Feral will read their e-mails, eventually.

Get it from LudoMac. I did, because I was tired of waiting for MGF to host it. It's the English version, despite the website being in French. Screamed down my line, as well. :)

nice set up you got there ;)
i believe the recommendation for the demo on the IG DVD was to turn off auto save. See if that helps things. It could simply be a bug in the demo code.

I got it in the mail January 3rd. It's a great great game. Sandbox is awesome now that we can just start in the year 2000. It's a great and addicting game. As fair as lip syncing... well.. it's weird When it records your voice it's real movey... Like, sounds like it's being recorded from 5 places.... and I have a fast fast mac, and the microphone is a nice condensor.

The current bout of games are actually being ported by a company called RoboSoft.
Well there you go, even Mac game porting is being outsourced to India. I wonder how that's working out for Feral.

I think we know the answer to that.  What happened to the previous porting folks?  They were doing fine.

so it is! i hadnt spotted that one..
theyre also going to be at macworld, booth #4437, North Hall... so if anyone is going, check them out and report back.

as for Zonic, theyre still around, and are still working on CMR2005. im not sure if theyre also doing Fable and Black & White 2, which would make sense seeing as they worked on B&W1 back in the day.

i think the use of Robosoft was either one of "weve got a boat load of games coming in to port soon, and cant load everything on Zonic, hey theres these guys in India" or "hey, theyre cheaper"...

would be interesting to find out.

That is incorrect - Zonic are not working on any games at present (the last was Commandos 3).

theyre definitely not working on CMR2005 anymore? cos its still got your logo on the Feral website in the CMR mini site.
does this mean that ALL the current ports are being done by RoboSoft?
have Feral and Zonic had a falling out?
do you work for Zonic?
