The Movies Any new news?

A while ago IMG reported that "The Movies" would be coming to the Mac thanks to Feral Interactive. Both IMG and Feral stated a few months back that the game was nearly finished and a demo would be out very soon.
That was months ago and things are completely quiet. Is there any word on when we might see the game? or at least the demo?
Thanks.

Well likely only see them after 10.4.8 is released, and that has only just had its first developer preview released. Apple Insider says this "The Cupertino, Calif.-based company also appears to be working on improvements to the operating system's underlying components, including fonts, graphics, modem usage, networking, the Rosetta emulation environment and printing." so its still up in the air really...

A minimum 1.67mhz g4... a 2ghz intel is recommended.
Keep in mind when this came out on the PC, the minimum processor was only 800mhz.
I know you lose a little bit in the porting process... but this is one of the biggest discrepencies between the pc and mac sys req. that I think I've ever seen.

once the demo comes out, youll be able to play it and see what the performance is, and so make a judgement of your own based on that.

Yep. I planned to.
But it continues the trend that I've noticed... that ever since the intel macs have come out... it seems like ports all the sudden don't seem to run very well at all UNLESS you have a 2ghz machine.
It's almost as if the porting houses, once they get performance that runs 'o-k' on intel macs... they stop trying to optimize any further.
... but that's just a theory.

Also said before was that to get the demo to work, all you had to do was set the date back a bit (ive discovered that its to before the 10th of September)...
I can say that it runs pretty well on my system, at least in the early stages of the game. Ive got the graphics on full, and its pretty and very playable.
Basically, if youve got 1.2Ghz or more, and a relatively competent graphics card, you should give the demo a go and see if its to your standards. 1.6ghz is a bit over the top if you ask me...

The Movies was supposed to be released in July.
Empire at War might not be playable on PPC machines.
Apparently AoE III is buggy.
And who knows when or if Fable will ever actually be released.
If the developers/porters can't stick to a schedule or keep their fans informed I see no reason to support them.
OK, rant over.

as for keeping us informed, Feral has been pretty good about making appearances on the forums to keep us updated or whatever.
finally, when I said "as soon as its released" i meant to say "as soon as Feral releases the demo"
