Glad to see you were just joking.  SP drives the rig for RTS/TBS games.  Those "top 10 games in the world" happen to be what genre?

Are you saying that, by implementing a good SP experience, the developer successfully leads the player into MP? If so, in the case of AoE 3, the SP campaign was pretty weak, but served as a decent tech demo for skirmish and MP, imo. ;)

No.  I believe the SP game is the reason for the game, where MP then becomes a feature.  Hardcore strategy gamers, IMHO, play solo.

Teutons? That just makes it easier since villagers fire extra arrows while defending.

Yep, but you won't win by defending, and getting up that slope won't be easy with the Teutons.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

I think there's some truth to that; especially if one is more apt to be about the study of the genre, and less inclined to put it to the test in human competition. I enjoy solo skirmishes, etc.; there are simply times when I'd rather play alone. However, a multiplayer game can quickly give one an indication of how well their study is going. I've gone into MP battles on more than one occasion thinking my SP skirmishes had more than prepared me for what to expect, and being thoroughly annihilated as a result. ;) I'm more inclined to think, at least since the advent of MP, they go hand-in-hand, and that MP is much less a 'feature add-on' than it used to be -- most especially in the case of AoE 3.

I'm sorry, but anyone who says the campaign is what makes an RTS (particularly THIS game) good, is completely out of their mind.

I'm assuming SP is the campaign, comparing MP skirmish games to SP skirmish games isn't even worth comparing because obviously your going to get a far more genuine experience playing someone real.

well i know that i enjoy jumping into the odd skirmish in C&C generals.... singleplayer...

the fact of the matter is that I cant be bothered with trying to play against randoms.
Its UT syndrome, where the bots are good/challenging enough that theres no need to play online unless its with a friend.

I've got to agree, in terms of thrill.

That would be under the display settings in system preferences I believe, nothing game specific.

You might try changing your main monitor around in the arrangement tab in Displays and see if that gives you what you want. Another idea, if AOE3 supports it, is to use window mode and just drag the window over to your second monitor.
