This afternoon, IMG will host another episode of it's newest feature, the IMG Podcast LIVE! The IMG Podcast recording will now be broadcasted live via a shoutcast streaming audio server and feature an active chat. This allows listeners to participate in the show in real-time. We'll even be taking a call or two via Skype.

To listen to the show, simply download the following audio file:

http://downloads2.ma...8000/listen.pls

Double-click it to launch in iTunes and connect to the audio stream. The show starts at 4:00 PM Eastern (1:00 PM Pacific) [9:00 PM UK], and we'll be playing some of your favorite Apple hits beforehand as well.

To participate in the live chat, launch iChat, click file, select "Go to Chat..", and type "imglive" in the box. If you'd like to call into the show via Skype, just send a message to "imgpodcast", or dial 231-HEAT-D-GO from any regular phone.

For fans of the classic podcast, fear not. After the live show's finished it will be availble for download via the podcast feed the day after.

So be sure to bring your heat to the table, because you've got a hot date tonight...

A hot date with Blake Buck... Maybe it would be a hot date if you were Oprah or Roseanne Bar who would swoon at the thought of going to a drive-in for a supersized butter dipped double bacon deluxe cheese burger!

OK B. Buck, Fic, WillMill.  I'll be there.  I'll take that heat and I'll raise you a kilojoule!

Would this be the 'Wingnuts 2' episode that was promised in episode 29?

Maybe its because I have never used iChat before, but Go to Chat is greyed out for me.
And I wanted to chat live and such.

Do you have an Apple .mac or an AIM account?  You can't chat without one.

Neither actually.  I mostly just chat on IRC.
Ill look into it for next week though.
This week's pre show was awesome and well worth listening live to. I can only imagine the comments in the channel!  :P

Keep in mind that you don't actually need a "live" .Mac account.  It'll work even if you've never paid for .Mac.

That's how my Battle Cat account works.  I signed up for a trial .mac account but opted out when the trial was over.  They let you keep your .mac name for iChat and also in case you change your mind about the .mac account.  If you don't have an account with online disk space and you are a Mac user, .mac has a lot of features worth considering.
