I don't know. It was posted by narf2006, one of the leading types trying to get it to work. If anyone could succeeed, it might be him. I'll reserve judgement for a day or two but I wouldn't bet against this.

I highly doubt that this shot is real due to lack of EFI support in XP. If he/she really got it to work, I would bet it was done through the biggest kludge you can possible imagine. Nothing an ordinary user would be able to manage.

No, this looks like it might be the real thing now. There are nmore images, and it's being reported in alot of the major PC news sites (Ars Technica, Engadget and the like). He's going to post instructions and claim the US$12,000+ prize soon according to reports. Looks like it may be the real deal. We'll know soon enough.

yah, i saw this on digg. i hope he really did get it to work, and more importantly i hope its not TOO hard to do. i consider myself an advanced computer user, but dont know allot about hacking. i heard he was having trouble getting it to install on a FAT formatted drive or something like that, im not sure.

One group said they hacked the NT boot loader to work with EFI, another said they added EFI modules for BIOS and display compatibility. Neither sounds like a huge problem for end users to apply.

just use the one on the IMG front page.
looks good, though id personally prefer to have VPC with graphics acceleration(i know, long shot), because then you dont get the plethora of worms and virus that the PC side get potentially taking out your entire HD... that or run it of an external disk.
