I'm at a complete loss.
I'm running OSX 10.3.9 and have kept several versions of MacMAME (all of which worked previously) until today.  Each time I double click on the MacMAME app, I see the icon bounce once or twice in the dock before disappearing.

Now, just to be on the safe side I downloaded the latest version and followed the setup instructions thoroughly (setting up a MacMAME User Data folder and moving my old roms into the correct ROM sub folder, etc).  It still doesn't work.

I've dumped my old preference files and deleted some duplicate Mame docs, but still no luck.
What am I doing wrong?

Maybe nothing . . . have you tried repairing permissions and restarting your computer?

Sounds like today is the day you updated to QuickTime 7.0.4. ;) MacMAME fails to launch under 10.3.9 when QuickTime 7.0.4 is present. It works under 10.4 with the latest QuickTime, or under 10.3.9 with an earlier version of QuickTime.

Indeed...I upgraded my QT last week.
Of all things, I had no idea that QT would have this kind of effect on other Mac apps.  No worries...I'll just downgrade until Apple releases another update.
Thanks for the fast response Brad!  :)
