Uhm, you mean those, dunno what you'd call 'em, shapes on the side of the mouse?

No...you CLICK.  On the RIGHT.  (The opposite of LEFT.)  Try reading the docs.

the Mighty Mouse is confusing.

First up, go to System Preferences, then Keyboard & Mouse, and there should be some options regarding what the "buttons" do on the Mighty Mouse.

set it so that clicking using the right hand side of the mouse (the patch next to the ball) does a right click. Test on the desktop, and a menu should appear.

In order to right click successfully, you will need to raise your left finger from tangible contact with the mouse, so that it only senses the right finger, otherwise it will do a left click...

rinse lather and repeat right-clicking in-game to skip section.

sorry if that was in any way patronising.
Dont give up on Stubbs just yet, its a pretty decent game all the same. Also, only blame the devs for the whole dance routine section and anything else that niggles you about the game, not for the way that Apple designs their mice (which just completely and utterly sucks at the moment).
Polytetrafluoroethylene to my friends.

Thanks Teflon. That did it. Much obliged.

And it is a pretty fun game. I sincerely suck at using all the fancy weapons. And I'm possibly the world's worst hand to hand zombie. But eating brains is fun.

Currently wandering around the mall. The background blurbs from the stores are hillarious.

Again, much obliged.

no problem. that mouse can be tricky if you dont know what youre doing, and Id seriously advise getting something more up-market (with 2 distinct buttons, an ergonomic design, a scroll wheel, and lots of superfluous features which youll never need or use) as soon as you can.

im quite a fan of the "lady-bacon" in the mall. its classic.

the grenades arent too useful in the game, unless you can pinpoint throw them so that they land on people. The fart is useful for lots of people, the head bowl is an odd one, which i rarely use, and the hand throw is the most useful, cos it gets you guns with a reticule and other such things.

keep at it.
