what confuses me is the next persons comments:

'the cow. it tested overcloker or what?'

the cow?? the cow? what have cows got to do with batteries blowing up??

but seriosuly... batteries dont often blow up. its entirely possible that the computer froze up when going into sleep... then it slowly overheats till it blows up... Its happened to an old G3 powerbook I had, but i spotted it and kept the computer open, and it didnt blow up. i did a force shut down too...

worrying to say the least.

I dunno, it's a French slang thing (is that a Quebecois site?) - general purpose expletive. My friend's boss says it.

There was a recall on batteries from Apple portables a while ago. Can't remember when, but it was due to problems with overheating to hazardous levels.

If there's any mention of 'overclocked Tomatos' we're all in trouble.

Ah, I didn't know about that. Are there any existing DV cameras that use USB2 instead of FW? The "digital media" people that Apple targets with software like Imovie or Final Cut Pro would probably not be too happy if the firewire port was removed.

Firewire was designed to allow you to remotely control your DV camcorder from your computer, so that'll be one major inconvenience.

I just found a performance test by Woodware of the MacBook Pro. It's a bit of pretty comforting reading! :D

I think they're referring to the mythical "Holy Cow".

Pretty obvious, actually.
