In his latest newsletter, Cliff Johnson, author of the award-winning puzzle games Fool's Errand and 3 in Three, has announced that the release of The Fool and His Money has been delayed yet again.

It is with a long sigh and a heavy heart that I must announce that The Fool and his Money is not yet ready for shipping. The bits and pieces and odds and ends of completing the game has pushed production, playtesting, and publishing into the New Year, significantly so.

My production managers, Chicken Little and The Boy Who Cried Wolf, assure me that the final, absolute, no-fooling-around, drop-dead, unequivocal, categorical release date is April 24th, 2006.
This is just the latest of several "final" or "definite" release dates announced by Cliff Johnson. But fans know Cliff as a brilliant puzzle designer and perfectionist, and they are giving him the benefit of the doubt if the pre-orders for Fool and His Money are any indication.

More information about Cliff's classic puzzle games can be found on his website. Fools Errand is available as a free download, and there is a tip for getting this venerable black and white game running under OS X 10.4.
