The hard-working staff here at IMG would like to wish all our readers a hearty Happy Holidays.

We'll be taking the week off over the festive season to enjoy time with our families and loved ones, and we hope you can all do a bit of the same. While our News and Features departments won't be updating, stay on the lookout for a new IMG Podcast coming next week. And, as usual, the MacGameStore is open 24/7 and will be processing orders throughout the holidays.

While the roads may be treacherous during this particular time of the year, remember that it's never a good idea to get behind the wheel if you've been drinking. We wish you a warm and safe Happy Holidays, and see you in the New Year!

Well, first I should pass around the Grievances Worksheet for each of you to fill out.  But if it is anything like the past years of Festivus, you will all disappoint me terribly with your pathetic responses.

The day after Thanksgiving and the day after Christmas are the two WORST shopping days of the year.  One year I had my wife drop me off at the mall on the day after Thanksgiving just to see what it was like.  I got dropped off a block away cause you can't even get near without getting stuck in traffic.  I wasn't shopping, just crowd observing, it was a pretty amazing thing to see.  From the solid jam packed parking lot with cars endlessly circling bumper to bumper - to the solid jam packed stores with women endlessly circling like wingless vultures.  It was a true cultural experience, and having recently come from a deserted part of the state and living in a cabin in the woods, it was like I was on another planet.

Hey, everyone, be careful on New Year's Eve. That's the night that the members of AA call "Amateur Night." Even if you don't drink, I'd still stay off the roads.

Other than that, what are you going to do with the extra second?

There is no way in Hell (or Heaven (or Apple)) that I would go near a store on the day after Thanksgiving. People get hurt (by other people) on that day... every year. Free fully-loaded Quad G5 PowerMacs or not - I'm not going!
