Due to the popularity of The Sims franchise in France the French postal service, La Poste, is honoring the game with an offical postage stamp. The stamps will be released in a limited edition of three million copies, and will be one of ten in the Heroes of Videogames collection. The Sims is so popular in France that the games have reached 8th place in the top ten list of entertainment products, right behind the novel The DaVinci Code.

"From fashion to food, history to heraldry, the French have always been cultural tastemakers," said EA's Chief Creative Officer Bing Gordon. "We thank them not only for commemorating The Sims with an official postage stamp, but also for making it one of the top ten most celebrated entertainment products in France-Merci!'"
The Heroes of Videogames collection will retail for 2.65 euros (approximately $3.09 US) from French post offices and through La Poste's web site. For more information follow the links below.

That's a cool idea! My father lives in France, so he can pick up some of these stamps for me… :D

A stamp?

I thought this was about the long-overdue bridge for interoperability between The Sime and Postal 2.

Not completely. I assume there will be another expansion pack to allow you to attach things to mail. Then it would be ripping AC off.
