A very long topic of this name has existed on the macgamer forums for a long, long time.  Kinda cool.  We'll see what it does here.

Mine for the moment:

"Four Little Diamonds," ELO
"The Hand That Feeds," Nine Inch Nails
"Godzilla," Blue Oyster Cult
"Destroyer," The Kinks

Ah, you're doing a Commander Data.  (Listening to sixteen tracks at once?)

C'mon, Cow.  Name something!  Even if it's some intolerable and utterly obscure shrieky manga theme song.

(Ah, I got it.  The Alpha Team's "Speed" album!)

I tried listening to my old John Zorn album the other day. Wow that didn't last very long.

I'm listening to the sound of my G5's fans whirring faintly, about 2 feet to my left.

Edit: Update!  My space heater has come on, which whirs quite a bit more loudly.  Also, there's a truck or something driving past very slowly outside.

Edit: Update 2!  The truck is gone now.  That was pretty annoying...I'm on a dead-end road off of another dead-end road, so normally I don't have to listen to loud trucks like that.

Edit: Update 3!  The space heater is still going, but I'm probably warm enough now.  I'm thinking about manually turning it off, so I can go back to listening to the G5 fans, which I can't hear at all now, thanks to the space heater.

Ahhhhh Godzilla by Blue Oyster Cult... those were the days.  That song was the partial inspiration for Gary's Salsa Godzilla and later Gary's Salsa Godzilla Brand Habañero Sauce.

Basically right now I'm listening to two cat's crunching kibble and my G5 happily whirring away as it works almost at full blast on Folding@home.  The last things I listened to were the only three songs in my iTunes "Purchased" library.

Zip a Dee Doo Dah - Bing Crosby
Don't bring me Down - Electric Light Orchestra
Bang a Gong (Get it On) - T. Rex

I might just add Godzilla to it!

[Edit - OK I just bought Godzilla.  Listening to it now, what a kickass song!  The best they ever did!]

I listen to 4 major groups and almost nothing else:

Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) is my favorite and I own every song they ever released.
Chicago
Blood, Sweat, & Tears
Earth, wind, & fire

I think if anyone trash talked ELO to my face I'd side kick bash their skull open.  Just so you know...if you ever meet me in person. ;)

Until last night, I had never heard "Four Little Diamonds," which is pretty weird -- I thought I had heard basically all of ELO's music, and owned most of it, but obviously I missed that Secret Messages album.  Looks like it was used as part of a soundtrack to a Grand Theft Auto game... which would totally rock, I can just imagine ripping off cars to this track.  =)

One of the coolest ways to find new music, for me, has been browsing the iMixes (searching for "running" because I mostly use my music to jog) and listening to what other people have chosen.  More gems that I have turned up by this method:

"Stranglehold," by Ted Nugent
"Jealous Again," the Black Crowes
"Survival of the Sickest," Saliva
"Click Click Boom," Saliva  (the r0xx0r)

and

"Road Runner,"  (Aerosmith)
"Voodoo Cadillac"  (yeah.  Southern Comfort on the Skids!)

[Edit:  Good job, Gary.  Would you say that history shows, again and again, how nature points out the folly of man?  ;) ]

Yes, and with a case in point too.  I was with some friends gathering firewood for the winter.  I was standing under a big dead snag (pure firewood gold) that was leaning on a yellow pine tree.  As I looked up at it, I was thinking, "Man what a great spot for firewood!" when my calves started burning like they were on fire.  I looked down and saw a cloud of hornets barreling out of the ground from under my feet!  I started running for the pickup truck, a beat up old Ford flathead 6, screaming "BEES!!  BEES!!" while I was frantically slapping at myself.  My savvy, woods wise friends knew just what to do in such a situation.  The driver fired up the truck and took off with the wheels spinning and kicking up dirt and sticks while the other wood scout jumped into the back.  I passed the truck just as he was shifting into second but quickly lost my lead.  I out ran those damn hornets though.

A mix of RHCP's greatest hits, the Deus Ex soundtrackm with a little Mechwarrior 2 thrown in. Occasional Star Wars soundtrack. Partial to various OC Remixes.

Oh, and Dschingis Khan's Moskau Moskau!

You have never heard of AEROSMITH?

You have never heard of TED NUGENT?

CHICAGO?

ELO?

I'm astonished.  You must totally avoid pop music.  Your music, such as I could find on the iTunes store, is quite somber... sounds like the great-grandchildren of Joy Division.  (That is not meant as snide.)
