I know this is late, but i have some comments on the podcast....
Tuncer, your take on Piracy is inspiring. I think you spelled it correctly by portraying it as the possible doom-maker of Mac gaming. I know alot of those who browse (post) on this site contribute to that. I'd also like to point out that i believe this piracy problem has become inherent in the "Switching" movement. I don't think a "pure-blood" Mac user would download anything illegal. On the other hand... on the PC side of things, Piracy is second nature... practically a computer users RIGHT. So with all these people coming from the PC to Mac, and wanting to try games before they buy (which is what PC gamers are accustomed to), they end up contributing to this pool of piracy. While Apple thrives, so does piracy...
Also, i think the main reason we're not seeing some games announced for mac lately is because of the hardware requirements. Quake4 PC recommends a 2ghz. That means a dual 2.5G5 might barely just cut the mustard with an X800. By 'cut the mustard', i mean PLAY WITH A SMILE. The percentage of Mac users with the hardware to run that are not in large numbers. Doom3 is probably a victim of this same requirement to some extend... I bet over half the Mac user base can't run doom3 happily.
So we're just going to have to wait for these new kick-as* x86 Macs. Then we'll see higher end games come our way... then we'll see more games in general.. like you said in the interview.
It's also comforting to know that the person running IMG used to be a game developer, no matter how Archaic of a game dev he may be.

j/k
I feel personally, in a place where there are choices. I always get mad at Apple when i feel like there is no choice. Agency is a gift... and one that Apple doesn't necessarily recongnize. Right now I feel a famine of Mac games coming... but already i think i can see the aftermath of that famine...
