How about adding PlayFirst? They are moving into the Mac casual games market. http://www.playfirst.com/category/mac.

Battlefront ... with it's recent emphasis on Windows-only games (Theatre of War and the new CMx2 series, and others like Down in Flames) ... does it deserve two stars?

Hmm, I'm open to suggestions. It's been a while since the list was first compiled and honestly I don't play their Mac games. Boot Camp is here and my impression would be if they are producing high quality titles above the "casual game" status, then maybe they should keep the 2nd star? Of course if they are out of producing Mac titles, maybe they should be removed from the list. How's that for waffling? Anyone with strong feelings on this?

Well, I'll make a suggestion :) MacPlay is officially only publishing casual games now, and has been for two years at least (you can hear Mark Cottam's comments about it from Casuality Seattle 2006 playing on my show on my home page right now). Even though in the past they did publish AAA titles, since they no longer do, shouldn't the number of stars be changed to one?

Hey I received an email and a link in it, they have great services. They
Offer power leveling, rentals, they buy and sell, they can even trade. Check
Out [Edit - link removed - tBC]

Thanks for the link, but I don't really believe in power leveling or purchase of loot for MMOs. I don't know if IMG has an official position regarding this issue. But if enough readers think this is important info, and the powers that be don't have a problem with it,  I'd consider adding it.

That was a spam bot, it posted the same message in 31 different threads in this forum before I crushed the unclean thing under my heel.

Ah-so. I thought the "type the funky number" exercise when signing up for a forum held off the bots. That would be bad if they found a way around that.

You may not want clan sites, and our clan's activity level rises and falls wildly, but our site does provide 2 services to all Mac gamers, not limited to our own members:

* Yet Another Forum (some good tech help can be had sometimes, especially with Descent 3 and UT 2004)

* Public game servers (usually 2 to 4 running for different games--some run by me, some by others; some for demo versions some for retail)

And so I present: Apple Corps - Mac Sci-Fi Vehicles Clan (you think that's specific? we used to play ONLY Descent--now we play various FPS games, even ground-pounders; so far mainly we play Descent 3, UT 2004, Halo, Tremulous, Prey - and other games come up less officially)

http://macclan.net

Active membership hovers around a dozen at any one time (varies with the academic cycle), with many more who "pop in" once in a blue moon. We're very informal, and have no skill requirement to join.

And in case it's not obvious, this is nothing commercial, just a bunch of Mac gaming fans :)
