Nothing is gonna approach DOA4's realistic hooter physics for a long time.

"What is tat, and how can I exchange it for the other thing?"

Over the years  Team Ninja has lower in teh w00torz overall (dispite DOA4's content in it's CG endings). So in this catagory Lara Croft wins.

played? You mean there's a game too? wow! I've watched the two movies and double wow - angelina jolie dressed up as lara. AJ herself is good enough and THEN she dresses up as Lara!!! Doesn't get better than that  :D

The best thing about the first film was that it allowed a reviewer to write this line:
"Tomb Raider stars the lips and breasts of Angelina Jolie, and in a somewhat smaller role, the actual Angelina Jolie herself."

Plastic surgeons use a roll of cadaver tissue to plump up lips.  As "Battle Cat BS" as that sounds, it's true.  I wonder if, as long as they had a stiff they were harvesting tissue off of for Angelina, the surgeon just went ahead and sliced off the buttocks to plump up her breasts with.

Yet another thing that totally tweaks my logic centers. Why would anyone stick cadaver tissue in themselves in order to make themselves look worse?

What's even worse is that if you squeeze her breasts, her cleavage farts.

If any of you get a chance, checkout the g4tv website and see the OFFICIAL Laura Croft spokesmodel video ("Karima Adebibe is the official spokesmodel for Eidos' Tomb Raider: Legends. Check out her moves").
I was channel surfing, caught the Attack Of The Show tease, and watched it :D
It's under the heading of "Guns, Boobs and Short-Shorts: See Lara Croft in the Flesh!"
15" 2.93Ghz Core Duo 8GB RAM Mac Book Pro w/NVIDIA GeForce 9400M/9600M GT and 500GB HD
Reactivated my 17" 1.5Ghz PowerBook G4 to play all the games that OS 10.7 denies
--------
Playing: Shifted to console play (Xbox 360 and PS3) but return to Mac when all screens are in use by the family Diablo II.

Wall, aye muhst saay, thaht guhl is fah bettah looking than Joleee. She also sounds like she's from Twickenham. Odd accent on guys, but on the girls, woohoo. I don't think she's quite got the chest to be an accurate Lara though. I mean she looks nice and proportiate, but since when is Miss Dual Processing about proper proportions?

The new Lara's butt. Or at least the best shot I could find for you.

(Anyone else find anything disturbing about this being the 7th TR game?  )

Do you mean to say that it is disturbing that sex and violence sells?
or just the recycling of the franchise?

I think it is more disturbing to contemplate the dull remnants amid the nearly empty bookshelves, frames, pedestals and stages if all the sex and violence were to be removed from our art.
And even mathematics...
(Apparently there is a typo at the end of this version, I need to look into that again.)

from the Cyberiad
by Stanislaw Lem

Come, let us hasten to a higher plane,
Where dyads tread the fairy fields of Venn,
Their indices bedecked from one to n,
Commingled in an endless Markov chain!

Come, every frustum longs to be a cone,
And every vector dreams of matrices.
Hark to the gentle gradient of the breeze:
It whispers of a more ergodic zone.

In Riemann, Hilbert or in Banach space
Let superscripts and subscripts go their ways.
Our asymptotes no longer out of phase,
We shall encounter, counting, face to face.

I'll grant thee random access to my heart,
Thou'lt tell me all the constants of thy love;
And so we two shall all love's lemmas prove,
And in our bound partition never part.

For what did Cauchy know, or Christoffel,
Or Fourier, or any Boole or Euler,
Wielding their compasses, their pens and rulers,
Of thy supernal sinusoidal spell?

Cancel me not -- for what then shall remain?
Abscissas, some mantissas, modules, modes,
A root or two, a torus and a node:
The inverse of my verse, a null domain.

Ellipse of bliss, converse, O lips divine!
The product of our scalars is defined!
Cyberiad draws nigh, and the skew mind
cuts capers like a happy haversine.

I see the eigenvalue in thine eye,
I hear the tender tensor in thy sigh.
Bernoulli would have been content to die,
Had he but known such a cosine 2 ?!

Basically the latter. If it turns out well, OK, but in general there's too much sequelitis in entertainment these days. Another game only because it's a franchise they're trying to milk, well, that'd be a shame.

LC:TR was a product of its time. I have doubts about updating it.

Who gives a damn if it's milking the franchise, as long it's better then the last tomb raider game then I am willing to give it a try. Plus Lara Croft looks hot in her new outfits.

I don't disagree about sequelitis, I still haven't finished the last TR. I'm not at all sure what they would put into it other than more polygons, etc. Though every year, there is a new crop of adolescents. The market regenerates.

There is something of Artemis in Laura Croft that helps to explain the continued success of the character. The hunt,  primeval forest, justice, the odd mix of chastity and fertility...
I don't know if computer gaming will ever produce great art, but the better ones will rely on the great themes. If there had not been a Laura Croft, someone would have had to have invented her.
