Descent 2 has been updated to version 0.2.6b13. In this new version, the changes are primarily in graphics and audio. D2X, or Descent 2 is a Mac OS X port of the classic anti-gravity, space tunnel game. Below is a list of changes.

• OpenGL! - finally its plays nice & smooth!
• Includes libSDL (1.2.9)
• iTunes audio support!
• Create an iTunes playlist called D2X and play your music there.
• D2X will then randomly play a song
• Settings are now saved inside /User/YOURUSERNAME/Library/Preferences/D2X

That is THE question, and just the person I expected to ask it. I want Descent 3 for X!
Anyone know where I can buy Descent 2 to hold me over until D3 gets X ported?

I think they had both D1 and D2 a while back...

Thing is, last I checked, this port of D2 works better with the PC version.  Apparently the Mac version movies don't work, though the game itself should be OK.

Oh D3 for X would rock, if I wasn't making my own PC, that would be the game I would get.
