You shouldn't ask yourself such worthless questions. Aim higher. Try this: why am I here? Why do I exist, and what is my purpose in this universe?

AvP: Gold Edition is definitively not Mac<->PC network compatible. This is just misleading to leave it one here.
Apparently it was originally slated to be compatible, but some PC networking code was introduced during its porting that made the porters axe it.
Perhaps someday some enterprising soul will fix this with the freely available source code, but for now it really doesn't deserve to be on this list.
*sigh*

Yeah, I wasn't sure when I did the list originally, hence the questionmark. Thanks for clearing that up.. and tBC to edit it... I wish I still could do it myself.

Probably a lot more as well, but from the top of my head those pop up.

You should probably assume the opposite: that if you can network the game over a local network, you can do it over the internet. That doesn't mean that all of these games have nice, in-game browsers which connect you to PC opponents, but I don't know of any games on the list that are only LAN friendly and won't allow you to connect remotely. As far as I know, games with proprietary Windows networking are the ones that aren't on this list because they are only Windows <-> Windows and then, after being ported, Mac <-> Mac.

Since when were Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon Mac-PC networkable?
Since it says on apple's site:

Use the Mac-only service GameRanger, or take on Mac and PC players through the game’s multiplayer menu, which uses GameSpy. You can also play Ghost Recon on a local area network (LAN).
I just wish more games were like this.
