Sims2 preordered a while back...oh, anticipation

Ohh feel sorry for you :( Living in North America and still not recieveing the game. I recieved today,  just pickup it up at the Icelandic custom's agent at the Icelandic mail office. Had to pay a little custom but mainly happy. Very happy with MacGameStore very quick.

Somebody else playing Sims 2 on an iMac? Woot... the fans go craaaaaaaaazy. I don't believe they stop. That's insane. Oh my, lol :D

I don't.  I have an 800mhz G4 iMac, which is why I was so curious if you were running Sims 2 on the 700mhz.

I'll have to wait awhile before I can play Sims 2 on the Mac....

Now I'm really curious. Everytime I play Sims 2 on my iMac it goes crazy with the fans.
Anyone having the same "problem"? Am I the only one? Oh my... Please report!

It's not a really a problem, it's just that Sims 2 makes your iMac work REALLY hard.  You could turn down the processor settings in the System Preferences, but the game will run a bit slower.

You might also check to see if there are any graphics settings inside the Sims you can turn down- that might give your iMac a little break.

Not sure what you are hoping to accomplish by asking "everyone having performance issues" to read your complaining about performance in the other thread. How does that help anyone?
