Hey,

I just saw that IGN reviewed Stubbs the Zombie. It's has a lot of good info on the game, and new screen shots.

Its a PREview not a REview.
But it looks like it adds some stuff we didn't know.

(Also whats this doing in action & arcade? Stubbs is a shooter)

It's totally not a shooter! All the action of gorging on the brains of the innocent, and all the arcadity (I made that word up) of ripping out your own guts! 'Tis hardly a shooter.

It's either Action & Arcade or Adventure & RPG.  Might even have elements of strategy games in it.  It does have shooting but it's not really a shooter.  It's a pretty innovative game, hard to find an obvious slot to it.  I'll leave it here unless some definite word comes down the pike.

And how about that wideloadgames.org!  Golly wilikers, I bet THEY got a health plan.

Alright then. I guess since its on the Halo engine, and it looked like a third person shooter, i thought it was a shooter.

Most third person perspective games aren't shooters, their mostly puzzles. I think you just wanted to make me look stupid!

that isn't very hard to do, btw

  I forgot to add that the other Stubbs threads were in Shooter.
It probably would get more attention there too.
Making you look stupid wasn't my intention, so I'm sorry if you did. :D

Yeah!

::looks tough::

And after careful consideration, I have officially decided I don't know where the hell Stubbs threads go.  I think it might be in the action genera.  Shooting is in the 4th person in Stubbs and most of the shooting seems to be done at the player!

Maybe Aspyr will chime in and tell us what genera the game is slated to be.

Now there's good news. It doesn't fit the mold.
What, do you mean to say that some innovation is still possible?

Or a "romance" game thread, viz.:

I'd say it's a "shooter"

It's a 3rd-person shooter, but without that much shooting.....

I say it's an action/adventure game. You run around doing things, like eating brains, and shooting people, those are actions! You gotta find people to eat also, so it's an adventure!

and I bet you gotta do it real fast, or you'll die. I consider Halo an action game, not a shooter.

Action games are usually side-scrollers or top-down view.

Halo is definitely a shooter....  Halo is the epitome of run n' gun gaming.

This is why we were better off with fewer areas to post in.  Anyway, the only question that bugs me is this:  if Stubbs can rip out his organs and use them as the disgusting weapons they are, does he ever run out?

Bungie describes the game as an action packed shooter.

Game descriptions should be simple, like "Fun" or "Sucks". That would make thing simpler.

Not really, because almost every game is either "fun" or "sucks" depending on who you're talking to....
