doesn't seem to work for me.  Just stays at 2 CPU's.  Even when I change them.  In the Menu's that is.  In system preferences.  I can select 1 and also select 1 in the picture.  But, when you go back into it.  Its back to 2 and 2.  NAP doesn't stay either.  What am I doing wrong here? :(

I also tried to run the CHUD updater.  and it just hangs.

Well, i just thought that i'd throw in my 2cents about doom3 performance...

Cent1:  My Mac runs this game better than my PC!  This i was not expecting.
     1280x1024 Medium(everything on 2xFSAA, default Ansio)
     30FPS

Cent2:  I've found the game to be playable on my powerbook!
800x600 Medium (everything on -no Shadows/FSAA, default Ansio)
     29.5FPS

...Thanks to some of the advice in this and other threads.

This game seriously creeps me out... it's so awesome!
Mac Pro/2.66/2GB RAM/X1900/1.5TB & 250GB X partition/250GB XP partition/Dell 24" LCD
MBP CD2.0/2GB ram/100GB HD (20GB XP partition)/ATI X1600m

I've read that you have to select a USA-keyboard layout to use "ctrl+alt+~" to bring up the console; and try "timedemo demo1 demo1" to precache the demo and run it at full speed since the first run :)
