There's another great cart/f1 type racing game for Osx that I just discovered recently...Virtual Programming's VIRTUAL GRAND PRIX 2.
Graphics are very impressive and the game runs smoothly on my eMac.  You get your standard cockpit and exterior views and handling seems pretty realistic.

4x4 evo 1 included a OS X public beta version, and it works on my computer (see sig.) perfectly!

For me; I love the graphics in 4x4 evo 2, and the steering in Total Immersion Racing....
