I've been trying to find an OSX installer for The Sims that didn't need Classic installed under OSX... Is it possible? I really don't want to install Classic just to install a game, and I have no use for Classic in any other capacity...

There is no standalone installer to download that will work with your current disc, but I believe Aspyr (for a small fee) will exchange your disc for a later pressing that comes Mac OS X native out of the box.

Ok... Well, i think i'll make an install on my external HD from my old PB G3 before it goes away, and then send the CDs for replacement...
