I installed UT2004, but it produced no sound in my headphones, which run off of an iMic USB-sound adapter. However, UT2004 produces sound in my machine's built-in speaker. But I live in an apartment, which makes using that speaker undersirable -- and I don't get sound directionality with that single speaker.

However, the demo had worked OK.

At the risk of stating the obvious, plug your headphones into the headphone socket on your laptop.

Open the OSX System Preferences, click on Sound and make sure Sound Output is set to iMic USB Audio. FYI I have the same setup and I DO hear UT2K4 sounds thru the iMic.

Except that my iMic works fine with sound from any other software. For some reason, the UT2004 engine will not send sound output to it, though the engine does send sound output to the machine's built-in speaker.

And yes, I set the sound destination with System Preferences: built-in, sound; iMic, no sound.
