yeah, i don't mind.  i know some people gotta pay the bills, i mean it's been free - i guess people just kinda get spoiled.

well, it just wan't working this morning.  that's where the red flag went up.  it's got to be easier to access - i'm talking for the newbies (and myself sometimes).

If I say I had an epileptic seizure due to the ad, does that mean you will take it down?

But seriously, I'm not bugged by it, and if it's needed to keep IMG going, no qualms here.

HOLY COW, THAT'S NOT AN AD, THAT'S PORN!

There's a porn ad on the front of IMG!

Oh wait a minute, I went to insidemacdames.com.  Nevermind.

I wonder if doing that voids the warranty.  Damn, that's hot.

Here's an wonderful email from Michael Ardizzone:

"What it is up with these ads that scream in my face everytime I log onto your website? You guys suck for making the people click through your stupid ads. Now I'm gonna have to proxify insidemacgames or I might go back to macgamer. Way to be total mainstream dicks."

Ah, people can be so nice ;)

Well, at least there is capitalization and punctuation in the letter...

That even looks like a real name - as opposed to getting a letter from I.P. Freely or Amanda Hugginkiss.

Ah, that must hurt. Being just mainstream.... :-D

But thanks for making it a only a once per 24 hour
visual "error".

my opinion is its like ign.com, only that is more annoying then hell. hopefully it won't come to that

(notably ign.com speeds usually bite the big one)

Can you explain how exactly it is "more annoying"? When you visit IGN you see the ad over and over. When you visit IMG, you see the ad once a day. How is that more annoying?

Tuncer

PS. Do people actually visit IGN? I can't stand that site...yek.

Yes I wasn't too clear was I. IGN.COM is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more annoying because yes that is like one ad for every two pages visited AND it's a slower site. IMG is better , yes it is only once per day and yes the speeds are great. I was just saying as long it never came to that point.

And I would visit ign.com for info on upcoming PS2 games. Actually, if anyone knew a better place than ign.com for PS2 updates,  i would be very very pleased.

I've never been a fan of IGN. Gamespot is way better, IMHO.

I get in, smurfette the video reviews, and get out. Poor Mozilla though, IGN makes it its bitch 2 out of 4 times. Turning off Java helps immensly in the loading speed of IGN.

Gamespot I feel is a little worse. Their site speed is better, but they abuse blacks and orange too much. Plus most of the time their page doesn't load properly under Mozilla - one of the most complient browsers out there. Not only that, but they do previews, sneak peaks, and reviews for many, many popsnizzle games. Looney Tunes Sea Racing does not deserve a 1x1 inch thumbnail next to Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater just because you have nothing better to throw out there. IGN also seems to have more game content...but we are still talking the lesser of two evils here.

Isn't proxify the name of an old INXS song?

(as opposed to a new INXS song)

I have now decided to work proxify into as many sentences in my daily existence as I humanly can, as a tribute to the charming Michael Arriwhateverhisnamewas.
