My money is now yours.  Who would do the port though?  Aspyr or Westlake?

Oh, and in a UK magazine, Warren Spector was quoted on saying that work has begun on the 3rd Deus Ex.  Another 3 or more painful years waiting for a great game.  Having Deus Ex on Mac OS X would help the years go by a little quicker.  I still havent' beaten the game running backwards yet :P  Plus I haven't beaten RiscIt's latest time beating the game.

yeah boi! Bring it!  :-D You've got an hour and 1 minute to chew off your previous time. I'll be nice and throw out that minute.

And didn't you know? I did my best time running backwards.

I've already bought Deux Ex twice, since my original disc got scratched.

However, its gotten so that the original game is hard to find for Mac, even online. In fact, IMG and Yahoo Games were the only sites I found that actually had it.

An X version would at least get it back in the spotlight, and towards that end, yes, I'd pay again.

I don't know how many "me too" posts are necessary but I would also buy a OS X version of Deus Ex even though I have already purchased it since I have moved to Panther only and then accidentally threw away my OS 9 CDs.

I'd be the first in line to buy.  This is my favorite FPS of all time. :D

I'd have to say I'd put the best Wild West quickdraw to shame in pulling out my wallet to pay for a X port of DX if it became a reality!

Aspyr's got my $20 in a heartbeat

(this from a guy who's on his THIRD DX disc after having one scratch up and giving the second to a friend who fell in love with the game while playing it at my house :D)

I hardly ever play DX any more, but that's only because I can't stand to fire up classic for it. It runs so poorly. :(

Given the chance, I'd gladly pay $20 for an X version. Just show me where the line starts. ;-)

What the hell, count me in as well. Would this be an upgrade and require also having a Classic version, or would it be stand-alone? I played Deus Ex on my brother's Windows machine over Christmas Break when I was home from A&M a few years ago, so I never bought the Mac version.

Glenda,

you definitely have my 20 bucks...
Deus Ex, still one of the best games!

Greetings, Andreas.

I'd pay 20 dollars.

You know what would be super cool? If you could get higher resolution textures from Ion Storm, and maybe make that ATI Truform thing work for the game. That would rock

Count me in. Loved the game. Played it 5 times! Can't boot into 9 any more on my G5, don't like classic. Yes. I'd certainly pay a miserable 20 bucks for this, hell, I would probably pay a lot more. Go for it, i say!

Quality port ?

Were talking Glenda Adams here, she made the Unreal Tournament port, the Deus Ex port and the Undying port, IIRC that is.

PS. high resolution textures would rock    but lets not push our luck

Here's an idea: Re-release Deus Ex for X, and include in the $20 package some of the community mods that are available, and (drum roll, please) the level editor. Kinda like Myth: The Total Codex.

I also want it!
My parent's system was a 110mhz performa so I couldn't play any of the games that came out after 1997! Now I have my own mac and I'd love to visit the classics that I missed!
As for a Aspyr classics series, I bought 8 games from the Macplay 5$ special and the icewinddale/BG2 deal over christmas break. If Aspyr did the same I'm sure that I would purchase a few more games.

Porting UnrealEd would cost way, way more than they'd be able to recoup on a re-released $20 game.
