Honestly, A Short Hike alone is easily worth a measly $5. And you get 741 free games with it, what's not to like?

Though it's been offered two months ago on EGS.

I've also seen recommendations for:
Astrologaster
Signs of the Sojourner
Minit
I also downloaded about 10 others that just plain looked interesting.

Tip: If you are getting tired of browsing the list, there seems to be lots more non-Mac games, text stories, game kits, and tabletop RPGs on the last 10 (of 25) pages. Pity we can't filter the list though.

Spring Falls is fun. It's basically a little puzzle game about rearranging the flow of water.

Update: you CAN search the bundle for a particular title after purchase. I think they may have just added this feature.

My Library -> My Purchases -> Bundles;  select the bundle. Now there is a search field above the list.

(Also, after you download a title the first time it gets added to your Library of individual titles.)

Yep, they just added it with about 300 more things.

Only looked briefly, but J.U.L.I.A, The Search, Walden, 2064: Read Only Memories, Windosill (played Windosill before, it's fun) caught my eye. Think they are all new.

Having a daughter who watches YouTubers has finally paid off! She pointed me at some games in the bundle that I'd overlooked.

Tried some tonight. The following are well worth a look:
Pet The Pup - fun little game, you are dodging people at a house party trying to find a dog to pet, because who needs people anyway.
Kids - (a "Doublefine Presents" game) - wonderfully animated and truly bizarre, done in 25 minutes.
Snake's Tale - interesting puzzle game, like Rush Hour but flexible snakes instead of vehicles
Desktop Goose - little goose wanders around your desktop, leave footprints, steals mouse pointer sometimes.
Minit - you progress in 60-second increments, after which you die and start (mostly) over. Kind of addicting.
- note: Minit wouldn't run, "app is damaged". I managed to fix it: https://osxdaily.com...rash-error-mac/

Daughter recommended but I haven't played yet:
Death and Taxes
Chook & Sosig Walk the Plank (we did play the original, free short game "Chook & Sosig" together, and it is... kinda dark, very strange. I liked it?)

Not recommended:
Catlateral Damage - Looked fun but execution was amateur. Didn't make me feel at all like a rampaging cat, the animations are drab, and game was a little buggy. Oh well, new game developers gotta start somewhere.

Had a brief foray through the (even longer) list again. I can recommend The Novelist, Marie's Room, And Yet It Moves, and A Normal Lost Phone.

Heard good things about Pyre (made by Bastion and Transistor people) Celeste, Binaries, Old Man's Journey, Glittermitten Grove (it's one of those genre-subversion games, it's NOT about fairies).

Thanks for the recommendations for A Short Hike! My daughter and I had a lot of fun playing that for a couple days. I played for over an hour before it suddenly occurred to me to plug in a controller for it. Gliding with a controller is SO satisfying.

They are now at 1500+ titles in the bundle. Even if you already own it you can still gift a copy to someone else.

I guess Humble didn't like all the air being sucked out of the room by that itch.io bundle, because here they come with their own bundle of games, books, a few comics.

It's much smaller than the itchy one of course, but some great titles in here. Baba is You, Kerbal, FTL, Broken Age, Surviving Mars, System Shock 1 (Windows) and 2 (Windows & Mac), two sports management games, Endless Space collection, Bioshock Remastered, and some others.

https://www.humblebu...rjustice_bundle

p.s. Most of the games are Steam keys of course, but a handful are also available as DRM free downloads. Soundtracks for a few of them as well.

New Humble Choice subscribers also get one free month of premium. 7 out the 12 available games (from which you can choose 9) are available for Mac.
You can cancel your subscription afterwards if you wish. The Classic plan (not available anymore) is so much better than the current premium, though: $20 for 9 games vs $12 for 10.

FYI, both Stillness of the Wind and The King's Bird are in the Itch bundle, so that might make decisions easier about what to pick.

Couple highlights from the Steam Winter Sale:
Borderlands 3 for < $20. AFAIK this is the cheapest its ever been; the usual sale price is $30.
Planet Coaster (Mac version released very recently) is 75% off.

BL3 on Steam is not a Mac game and it's not the cheapest either. Epic has the Mac version for the same price but there you can get a $10 coupon so you can buy it for about $10. Rise of The Tomb Raider 20th Anniversary with all the DLCs on the other hand is for sale for about 6 euros down from 30 on Steam.

Yes, it was Windows only since the launch day on Steam. I guess it didn't sell well on Epic so they skipped it on Steam. Their own fault with their crappy Mac port.

That's what I don't get. The Mac version exists already. They still support it with patches and DLC. The Steam storefront exists already. All the hard and expensive stuff is done already. It's hard to see how putting the Mac version on Steam would cost them anything.

Maybe the Mac sales are small enough that they figure they can keep it slightly more profitable by only selling it on their store? I could see some bean counter making that argument. But you could make the same argument for the PC version.

Ah well. I've just about given up trying to understand anything or anyone after this year. :-)

I still think it's because the DRM they decided to use in the Steam release (Denuvo) isn't available for macOS.

Win only, but a good offer:

5 Hitman games for ~15$ on GOG. I think this is a one-time use code, so let us know if someone has used it.

Hitman 1 + 2 + 3 + Absolution + Blood Money
