Good. Now they can get to work on the iOS version.

Who am I fooling? We know this will be patch city for a while. To their credit though, these guys have been great about enhancing the enhanced as needed post release. Just the same, Iím pretty excited about the prospect of this game and all the added content for it coming to iOS in time. Hopefully file size wonít be an issue.

I wonder when Apple will up the max app file size in a future iOS release. Given mobile processing power and storage options maybe iOS 13?

Anyway, great news this is out for Macs now.

Have they even announced mobile plans for NWN? Seems like the UI would be a nightmare. Then again they did manage it for BG.

Not that i'm aware. Course, I could be wrong

I've been playing the early access version of NWN on my MBP for several months and it's been rock solid; not a single crash or bug. That said, the game is definitely showing its age.

There is no announced plan to bring NWN:EE to iOS but barring technical constraints I donít see why they wouldnít after other more pressing work is out of the way. This was the case with Siege of Dragonspear which just released on iOS. It took a long time but they got to it. Everything else they have done is on iOS so why not NWN also?

I don't see why it wouldn't work on iOS. If anything, the finicky UI might be more finger-friendly over a mouse.

Neverwinter Nights was one of my all-time favorite RPGs! I'm happy that an enhanced version was made. Now that they game is out, what are your impressions of the graphics quality on a modern Mac? In some of the reviews on Steam people wrote that the graphics were blurry. The base game is going for $19.00, but to get the expansions you gotta fork over $40 bucks. Would like to know your impressions of playing the game on a Mac. if the graphics are blurry, I'm just going to request a refund on Steam.

The graphics are essentially unchanged from the original version (and they weren't particularly impressive back in 2003). There's a few updated textures available for character models as an additional download, but don't expect miracles.

Anyway, the point is that it gives you a way to play NWN on your Mac without needing to resort to WINE, or similar.

Okay, I'll do it!  I'll try the game this weekend and if I don't like it I'll request a refund, but not before I take some screenshots to show the graphics quality. I agree with you, Heroic--can't expect miracles. I remember reading comments when NWN was new that the games took so long to develop that by the time they were released the goal post for cutting-edge graphics quality had already moved forward, making the game graphics look a little dated. Now I'm looking forward to take this journey down memory lane.

That's basically why I'm playing it, which is as good a reason as any. Hell, I'm still enjoying it.

I tried out NWN: Enhanced. It was great to be back in that world again with familiar voices, places, and graphics. After playing through the immersive world of Skyrim it is difficult to go back. The pixelated font and slightly blurry graphics kept shattering the sense of immersion. I played for 21 minutes before requesting a refund. I wish they would have done a remastered version instead of just "enhanced."

Love is blind I guess. I donít have a problem with a game that looked good to me in 2002 still looking similar now myself. It depends on the game somewhat but I can be pretty forgiving of classics that taken as the sum of their parts remain great classic games. Graphics are overrated.

Thatís just my take though. Granted, I am always right but I like to fake being a reasonable human being sometimes. Oops.

Loved this game back in the day. Bad graphics would likely suit my outdated hardware.
