Just change the URL from https:… to http:. Fixed that for you. ;)

The videos seem kinda choppy for me, even though it should appear smooth given the FPS. Is that my machine or the recording?

Huh? YouTube has defaulted to HTML 5 for a while now. Unless the embedded player is different? Works on iOS.

Now that I think of it, I could probably uninstall flash soon without any ill effects, once Amazon finishes their HTML5 rollout.

Its Adobe? I dunno, maybe 'security' or some shizzle.

I was glad to see these videos. I was not expecting it to run so well. I guess I could play it on this system which is nice to know but I resisted the temptation to buy it half off because I don't want to play it now. I already have other irons in the fire and I don't want to buy something and not fire it up and then have Feral not get paid because of it. I forget the details of that now but I recall there is some limit time-wise that you need to install and run it so they get paid or beyond that time period, the PC publisher gets the money. I can't have that happen.

Well, you can buy directly from Feral to be sure. If I remember correctly, you have a month to play it in OS X.

I'll probably pick up Mordor eventually, when it hits <$10. Looks like it would be fun for a little while, but too repetitive, and the story is bad and not very Tolkien-y. Much more interested in Alien: Isolation...

It's full of bugs, it's full of security holes, it's an energy hog, and it's unnecessary in 2015.

IF you had to deal with patching 17,000 machines, with adobe's weekly flash updates, and a couple zero day crypto locker flavor of the day every week you'd go hulk smash on flash too. In Fact it's been upwards of a week since 18.0.0.209 dropped so we're due for an update again.

I'm waiting for a 6 GB graphics card so I can play this game with the ultra-mega-super-duper high rez textures (not sure they're available in the Mac version, since no Mac has this kind of graphics except the confidential Mac Pro's D700). I know the difference is minimal, but my backlog is huge, and so that gives me a reason to defer buying until I have the huge card (at which point, the game will probably cost $5!).

Has anyone tried this yet on the nVidia 650M?  In particular, I have a mid-2012 Retina MBP with the 1 GB 650M video card that shows right at the minimum requirements, but I'm not sure how it will really run.
