IMG Vent/Teamspeak Idea

I recently had an idea to host a IMG Vent/Teamspeak server for all those here to use as they like for just hanging out, or to be able to talk easily with friends while playing a multiplayer game.
Basically looking for feedback on what service is preferred (I prefer Teamspeak for the record) or if one was put up, would you use it? I'll gladly pay for and manage it...but only if it would get used enough. Basically have a lobby/chat area, and then rooms for popular games which you would go into when playing that particular title. Also size is a consideration...you buy slots in tiers, like 10, 15, 25, etc. I would think a 15 or 25 person server would suffice, but then again I don't know how many people might log on.
Please let me know what you think!

I can say quite a lot when I have something to say, but small talk is usually not my forte (pfhorte?) unless I'm half-drunk, just goofing off with people I know well, or both. That or laughing my guts out at tBC's antics in Marathon. Therefore gabbing it up like some girly (apologies to our handful of IMG girlies) is not in my online chat repertoire.

When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.

A lot of games do have voice chat these days, but its often sketchy or not that great. (Borderlands, Heroes of Newerth for some examples.) So that is really the angle i was after. In the end its just an idea, I'm not set on it, just thought it could be useful.

It would be nice if we were more of a gaming "community" who played together, but that's just me, maybe most don't really care.

How many people on IMG do already play together? I am talking about with the Steam group and through PSN and other stuff, as if that is not done too much, then a vent/TS server might not be worth it. Then again, if the cost per month (or whatever payment structure there is) is low enough, maybe it does not matter anyway.

Cost for month is quite reasonable, as long as you pay for it a year at a time. Basically agree to like a one year registration, and then its $6-8 a month for 25-35 users depending on who you order from. Maybe I'll set this up later on in January. I'm going to be gone for a bit traveling, then really busy for two weeks after that. So late January I'll probably just put it up and give out the address and see who uses it.
