This bodes well for DiRT performance. :)

DiRT Rally is 80% off on Steam right now. Don't install/play on Windows or Feral won't get paid (yes, I don't completely understand the economics behind how they get paid but it's $11.99 now, not available for macOS yet and that's my plan.) I've yet to touch the copy of Mankind Divided I bought, either.

This is not related to the Mac, but Feral has just announced F1 2017 for Linux, running Vulkan.
Feral may be the company that has released the highest number of PC games using next-gen APIs (Vulkan/Metal). They are now by far the best Mac/Linux porting house when it comes to the rate of new releases. Two AAA games are around the corner (DiRT, Deux ex).
There needs to be more companies like Feral, or they need to grow bigger. MOAR GAMES! :w00t:

...need more gamers drinking the macOS and Linux KoolAide, too.

Purchased.

EDIT: the lighting is quite improved. I tried the Paris mission, and the colors, reflexions, etc. are markedly better.

I’m assuming Nvidia still isn’t supported? It’s funny, it worked perfectly on my Nvidia 1070 in Sierra. However I just tried to play it for the first time in a couple months this weekend and it was unplayable slow. So the upgrade to high sierra basically killed it :(

Have you installed the web drivers?

The Nvidia drivers under High Sierra seem to be very problematic: I have seen reports of all kinds of issues on Nvidia GPUs, for instance also in Parallels and Google Chrome.

I wonder if Feral has any more details, regarding support for Nvidia and Intel graphics cards for HITMAN?

Yes - the OS X default drivers don't work for a 1070 so I need the Web Drivers to get my eGPU to even work. Agree with Janichsan though that the nVidia drivers are not good. They weren't in Sierra either, but not sure why they've gotten worse in High Sierra.

So, 'DiRT Rally' will be out for Mac on Steam in just a few days.
The Mac App Store release will be 'soon'.

Yeah baby... :)
I guess I'll have to get myself a gaming controller, because I might be hitting trees a lot with a keyboard.

The CPU requirements are extremely low. Clearly Metal is helping a lot.

Those requirements are truly impressive. Much lower than for BioShock Remastered even!

Well DIRT Rally is running well here and looks to be another solid job by the Feral team :)

I'll need some practice to get back into the rally driving style now as F1 2017 requires a very different approach!

Really good to see these series get continues backing on MacOS and these will give me many hours of fun.

I haven't played a racing game since Sega Rally on the Saturn, and that was with a game pad. Some 20 years after, I tried DiRT tonight, the Greece race. With a keyboard. I did finish the race... in almost 15 min. :crybaby:
No kidding.
