The big question today is; Was it a long-winded April Fool's joke...? :P

Never had an official release date yet, so you can't accuse Feral of anything :P

I'm guessing it will be out this month. Mind you that is speculation. However I've already played through the game entirely on a preview build and its good. I think they are doing some final performance and bug squashing. Maybe in a few weeks we'll see a release date

About the Darkness II. I just got an e-mail from gametreemac.com apologizing for the delay saying it's up to 2k games when they release it.

Quote

Hello Mac Gamer!

We're emailing you today regarding your pre-order of The Darkness II for Mac. Here at GameTree Mac we're gamers too, and we know you have certain expectations of an online game retailer. You've been waiting for The Darkness II to be released, and the wait has obviously been longer than we originally thought.

While we have no control over the release date (it's up to 2K Games), we understand it must be frustrating, and we want to give you a little something to make the wait more bearable. So here is a coupon for $15 off your next purchase (before May 31, 2012) at GameTree Mac! It can be used for any purchase (excluding Mac App Store games). All you need to do is enter the coupon code as you check out.

Played it for 4 hours last night. Fun stuff! Recommended for any shooter fan who likes a hefty dose of violence.

Just for US users  I want this game but i think the price is too high imho. Like on big title on Mac App Store i would be happy to buy it for 30€ but 50€ is too much since i want to buy Deux Ex and Diablo 3 too!

I bought it following the comments in the link despite not being in the US and then claimed it on Steam.

Should have a review of this out tomorrow and I have to say at $50 it is definitely overpriced. Well worth it in the $30 range, maybe $40 at the most. Of course nothing beats $12.50.

Edit, not seeing the deal on Amazon. Price is $50 for a download, $37 for a boxed copy. Did it expire?

Very much worth $30. I noted in my review that $50 was a bit steep. If you've been on the fence about getting this, now's a good time.
