So there are now only two games on Feral's radar: GRID for Android and the suspected Rise of the Tomb Raider.
But Feral may be working on at least one Lego game.

I wonder if they consider porting their iOS games to tvOS. GIRD should work well on the new TV. But the lack of proper controller may be a hindrance.

Aren't there some decent MFi-Controllers? Apple changed their TV App Store policy some time ago so that games may now require a dedicated controller.

I've seen those get discounts on the Mac App Store before, so my guess is that they will again at some point. :] I wish you luck in your game to beat all games: The Waiting Game.

Now I got all the ones I was missing, Ellie, thanks a lot.

Life Is Strange is now available as a Complete Edition on the Mac App Store.

Feral mentioned on their social media sites that F1 2012 will soon be discontinued, like F1 2013, GRID and DiRT 3 at the end of last year.
Also 'LEGO The Lord of the Rings', 'LEGO The Hobbit' and 'The Lord of the Rings: The War in the North' won't be available anymore soon.

Life is Strange Layers of Fear (plus the soundtrack) is also completely free for a limited time on the humble store: https://www.humblebu...b_medium=banner

Does that only affect the Feral Store, or will they also vanish from Steam and Mac App Store?

If so, why? There's a ton of even older feral games still available, like the original Borderlands or BioShock, LEGO Star Wars Complete Saga, Tomb Raider Underworld...

Is it just that they won't be updated for compatibility mit future Macs and versions of macOS anymore?

I can only speculate, maybe Ellie can clarify things...

Also of interest would be to know, if can we still download these games from our purchased tab on the Mac App Store after they are removed from the store?

As for the latter, I'm almost certain that will be the case. Otherwise, would be shady of them to advertise that now is the last chance to get those games...

There's very likely a licensing deal expiring. The question if this will just affect the Mac versions or all other versions of these games as well.

I played the Feral release of, 'The Lord of the Rings: The War in the North' and really enjoyed it. That's a good one to pick up while the getting is good for anybody that missed it.

So, what are Feral up to? There are only two games on the radar, including one that is already ported to iOS. The other is suspected to be the latest tomb raider.
It seems all the games that were waiting on Metal have been released.
Damn Feral, can't you release a new AAA game every month!?

Yep, 'GRID: Autosport' for Android and probably 'Rise of the Tomb Raider' for Mac and Linux.
And a Universal update of the iOS version of 'ROME: Total War' is in the making.

Sadly no hints on 'Bioshock 2 Remastered' until now.

I know have said this before, but it bears repeating: I'd rather have them spent their time and resources to port something fresh instead of this unnecessary remake of a perfectly fine game with a perfectly fine Mac version.

You are right, I can't really argue with that.
The problem is, it's getting increasingly harder to find a new game to play on a Mac with nVidia graphics.

Unfortunately I don't see that improving much (if at all) unless Apple pick one for a new model. Maybe the modular Mac Pro could offer the choice as I know CUDA is good for some pro apps, although Apple ones like FCP X mainly take better advantage of AMD.

it's nice (and appreciated) that Nvidia put out beta drivers for the later cards but the last official cards were in 2012.

Plenty do seem to run newer NVIDIA hardware but it depends on your software needs as there are many bugs and things that won't work. It's why I went back to AMD after a brief period early last year with a GTX680.

Since Feral likely read this thread, I'll take the opportunity to report that the latest macOS update has made the performance hit of MSAA on DiRT rally even worse.

In 10.13.1, performance at 1440p, with every advanced setting on high, from 0X MSAA to 8X MSAA (in that order) was (in frames/s):
91, 76, 54, 28
(which is already a much more severe hit than seen under Windows).

in 10.13.2 it's:
91, 60, 38, 16

Checked several times after restarting the system.
I have a radeon 580 iMac.

tl,dr; just don't enable MSAA in this game.
I'd just want to report that the macOS 10.13.3 update didn't fix the issue. In fact, performance has decreased by ~5% at all MSAA levels.
EDIT: performance is in fact the exact same as in 10.13.2, after restarting the game and steam. But the MSAA issue is still present.

Not just one, but two new blips for Mac on the Feral Radar:

"Save Poor Bob If You Please"

Posted Image

Picture and title surprisingly actually belong together: the picture shows blues singer Robert Johnson (on the cover of the book "Escaping the Delta"), while the line is from one of his songs (Cross Road Blues).

"It's Just a Shot Away"

Posted Image

The picture shows a Garibaldi biscuit, while the title comes from the Rolling Stones' song "Gimme Shelter".

EDIT: I'm wondering if "It's just…" might be LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2. Italian general Guiseppe Garibaldi (after whom the biscuits have been named) was appointed by the provisional Italian government in Milan – which is called "Milano" in Italian, like Star-Lord's ship in Guardians of the Galaxy (who are prominently featured in LMSH 2). And the Stones might reference LEGO bricks.

However, "It’s…" is announced for Mac and Linux, which would be a first for a LEGO game.
