I've lost interest in the game because of things like this, along with the bad Mac port and the absence of the game on Steam.

Before we all get the torches and pitchforks (pun intended) out—I know people like to put nothing past big companies and Gearbox in particular—it probably makes sense to also consider a different view on that story: https://www.linkedin...am-maxime-babin

or maybe it's because they released it for Mac on EGS a month later and will release it on Steam a month later?
That is if you ask me the most likely explanation.
Probably part of the deal with Epic that every version of the game has the same period of exclusivity.

Hello InsideMacGames! We're back to ask you this month's question...

What video game has the best soundtrack, and why?

It could be twangy indie songs that invoke the nostalgia of youth, or intense string quintets that inspire your soldiers to victory. As always, your answer could feature in our next newsletter.

The BioShock series has pretty great soundtracks.

Well, because they are stupid. They had already proved us that ;-)
Fair, but the (arguably) stupid decisions they made, like the whole EGS exclusive thing or even doing the Mac version in-house (instead of giving it to, say, feral), were ones that probably made a lot of sense to them, economically.
I just don't see what economical benefit they could expect from keeping only the Mac version exclusive to EGS, so I doubt that's going to happen.

Only reason I could imagine: Their deal with epic mandates the same period of exclusivity for every version of the game, and since the Mac version launched some time later, it would also remain EGS exclusive for some time longer. But that's only speculation, more likely scenario is the Mac version coming to Steam on March 13th as well and the store page being updated by then.

No Mac version on Steam so it's a dead end for us Mac gamers if there won't be any changes.
Will probably be there as soon as the game actually launches on Steam, because why would they keep the Mac version from Steam?
