Hi. I have Windows 8.1 running on my Late 2013 iMac in Bootcamp with GeForce GTX 780M graphics card and 32GB of RAM. Has anyone else updated to Windows 10 with a similar iMac/Bootcamp model? If so, what was your update experience like and does your system run smoothly afterwards. My system is stable so part of me thinks I should not mess with it, but then the other half of my mind yearns to upgrade.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
There is no reason from a gaming perspective to upgrade to Windows 10 on that hardware. If anything, it may break some older title you like.

Not the same Mac, but when I still had it I had upgraded a Mac Pro 2010 + GTX 680 from Windows 8.1 to 10 without any issues.
Harry, Windows 10 is so much better than 8.1 that upgrading is worth it.

If you are just booting into Windows to fire up a game, play it and leave, I don’t see how it matters really. It’s just a waste of time that could be spent gaming instead. If Windows is your primary operating system, yeah, going up to 10 is a no brainer. I have used both enough to be aware of the differences.

Only Windows 10 has DirectX12, though at the moment it doesn’t matter much. Mankind Divided ran worse with it for me.
It’s necessary to play Windows 10 only (read: Microsoft) games as well.

Thanks for the feedback. The only thing I do in Windows is play games. I don't touch any other part of the OS except to launch Steam, Origin, or UPlay.
DirtyHarry, you got me with:
-if it ain't broken, don't fix it,
-upgrading is a waste of time that could be spent playing games.
HAHA! So TRUE! Sounds like I need to leave my stable Windows install alone until there is a new game that I really want to play to requires DirectX12. Cougar, thanks for making me aware of the DirectX12 requirement for some current titles, and, probably, more future titles. I will look out for that, now that I know.

His hardware is not up to such demanding games.
